Primary Schools

EMW
builds primary schools in Vietnam to create a healthy, safe, and
suitable atmosphere for studying to give children in poor and
impoverished areas better life opportunities by giving them the
essential educational tools to help them succeed. Over the
past 20 years, EMW has built over 300 schools in Vietnam.
EMW's School Construction program
replaces old, rundown classrooms with new functional, ventilated,
well-lit and spacious classrooms at primary schools to give
impoverished and underpriveleged students a chance to learn in a safe
and encouraging environment. The primary school program benefits
children aged 6-11.
All
classrooms constructed use a standard EMW construction design and are
equipped with tables, chairs, electrical systems, anti-glare chalk
boards, lights and fans. Each school is also provided with access to
clean water and good sanitation.
Program Goals
- Provide
schools with the facilities to conduct all-day classes to improve the
quality of teaching and learning for both teachers and students.
- Raise
schools’ awareness of the importance of classroom size, natural and
man-made lighting and ventilation, anti-glare chalkboards, and
furniture with sufficient distance between tables and benches for each
age group in creating a healthy and safe environment in which students
can learn.
