Dr. Singer was a battalion doctor in Vietnam and is a Professor of Medicine at the University of Southern California. He has been on the board since 1990. 

Ann Truong
Vice Chair & Secretary
Ann is a CPA with over 20 years accounting experience. She was EMW's CFO for three years before joining the board.

Eric Hemel 
Treasurer
Eric was President of investment firm Alson Capital, and remains a Limited Partner and Advisor. He and his wife are founding supporters of SPELL and major donors to Breath of Life.

Pauline Camacho 
Dr. Camacho is Associate Professor of Medicine at Loyola University and Director of the Osteoporosis Metabolic Bone Disease Center.

Jerome Falk 
A retired partner of Arnold & Porter LLP, Jerry serves as an arbitrator and mediator at the JAMS SF Resolution Center. He is an active supporter of the OHH program.

Stephen Gunther 
A co-founder of New Urban West Inc., Steve was its president for over 20 years. He has served as Deputy Attorney General of California.

Barbara Kafka
Barbara served for over 33 years at the World Bank in a range of posts which involved her in the economic and social development of countries across the developing world.

Gil Kemp
Gil founded Home Decorators Collection, a leading direct seller of home furnishings and accessories and supports SPELL, Breath of Life and the Dental Program.

Carrie Eglinton Manner
Carrie is CEO of Clarient Diagnostic Services, Inc., a GE Healthcare Company, and a leading provider of cancer diagnostics laboratory services. She first partnered with EMW while leading GE Healthcare's Maternal Infant Care division.

Alex Nguyen
Alex serves as Deputy City Manager of Alameda, CA. Born and raised in Vietnam, he travels there frequently.

Ray Dean Salvosa
Ray is former managing director for Philippine Operations of the Consuelo Foundation, a leading partner in the expansion of Breath of Life to that country.

Satya Tiwari
Satya is President of Surya, a leading manufacturer and distributor of rugs and home decor. He has supported the expansion of the SPELL program to India.

Lena Tran
Lena is the Director of Business and Management at the University of California Extension, Santa Cruz and an adjunct professor. She has worked with technology firms and start-up enterprises.
