EMW's subsidiary organization Reach Vietnam is one of the charities participating in the Combined Federal Campaign (CFC), one of the largest exclusive fund drives in the world. The mission of the CFC is to promote and support philanthropy through a program that is employee focused, cost–efficient, and effective in providing all federal employees the opportunity to improve the quality of life for all.

CFC is the world’s largest and most successful annual workplace charity campaign, with more than 300 CFC campaigns throughout the country and internationally to help to raise millions of dollars each year. Pledges made by federal civilian, postal and military donors support eligible non–profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

Reach Vietnam Participates in 2007 Campaign

We are proud that Reach Vietnam has again been selected as a registered charity for the CFC. To qualify, we underwent an annual rigorous screening process in order to be considererd eligible—you can find out more about the process directly on the CFC website.

Not only was Reach Vietnam certified to be part of the CFC but that we have also been awarded the Best In America Seal of Approval by the Independent Charities of America. This Seal is awarded to members of the Independent Charities of America that have demonstrated they meet the highest standards of public accountability and cost effectivness. These standards include eligibility for the Combined Federal Campaign. Of the 1 milllion charities operating in the U.S. today, it is estimated that fewer than 5,000 or 5% meet or exceed these standards and of those 5%, fewer than 2,000 have been awarded this Seal.

I'm a Federal Employee: When Can I Give?

In 2007, the Combined Federal Campaign will run between September 1 - December 15, 2007. Pledges made by federal civilian, postal and military donors during the campaign season support eligible non–profit organizations that provide health and human service benefits throughout the world.

There are a number of ways to give through the CFC - through regional and national campaigns, directly through your paycheck. Please contact your employer's Human Resources Department for more information.

How can I find out more about Reach Vietnam through the Combined Federal Campaign?

Reach Vietnam is listed on the Do Unto Others website. DUO is a nonprofit federation that pre-screens high quality national charities working in every area of the world to ease the suffering of people who have been affected by war, natural disaster, famine, and epidemic. They present these charities to potential givers in fund drives at work and on the web.

Federal employees make can make contributions to the Combined Federal Campaign through the Do Unto Others website or participate in employee giving campaigns in corporate, state, and municipal workplaces throughout the country.

Can I view the financials of Reach Vietnam?

Of course! To be eligible for the Combined Federal Campaign, Reach Vietnam has been required by federal law to provide anyone that requests one a copy of our IRS Form 990. To request one, please email us.

What is the difference between East Meets West Foundation and Reach Vietnam?

Reach Vietnam is a subsidiary of East Meets West Foundation. Both operate under the same staff and board of directors.
